Quakers: the Who, What, When, Where, Why, How
Saturday, 08 June 2024 - Saturday, 08 June 2024
2024 marks 400 years since the birth of George Fox, founder of the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers.
Join us on Saturday 8 June to hear Ann Banks from the Society of Friends talk about:
Who are the Quakers now, where did they come from, what do they do – their worship, their actions and why do they do what they do.
The backdrop for the talk will be a display in the Level 2 Atrium featuring rare books from the Quaker Historical Collection, including a 1694 first edition of George Fox’s Journal. The display will run from 5 June until 31 July.
