Activities and Events
There are a number of regular activities among the Quaker community in New Zealand/Aotearoa, as well as intermittent events organised from time to time.
These include:

Yearly Meeting:  Our annual "business" meeting, where many Friends gather to deal with many issues.  Minutes are recorded, and an Epistle written. Yearly Meeting is held at various locations,  with each Monthly Meeting taking their turn at organising the event.  Read more...

Summer Gathering:  A summer camp held in different locations in the country, organised by Monthly Meetings in turn.  About 120 or more Friends (familes, adults and children) gather for 6 - 8 days camp,  with many activities including lectures, discussions,  walks, picnic, and concert.  Read more...

Quaker Settlement Seminar Programme: A series of Seminars are held during the year at the Quaker Settlement at Whanganui. These are organised by the settlers,  and are open to all Friends.  You can download the full annual programme,  or separate flyers for each seminar. Read more...

Seminars at other centres: Seminars are organised at other Meeting locations from time to time.  See Quaker Events on teh Home page or go to Find an Event under Connect menu.

Quaker Lecture:  A lecture is organised each year,  at different venues in New Zealand.  We aim to hold interesting lectures on a range of topics consistent with Quaker issues and ideals.  The lecturers are not always Quakers,  as we hope this Lecture will become known throughout New Zealand as an event worth attending.  Read more...
