The Treaty Relationships Group is active on behalf of Friends in lobbying and networking, as well as educating Meetings on Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Work has included writing and presenting submissions to Government bodies and local Councils, providing Meetings with resources, running sessions at national events, and an annual weekend workshop at the Whanganui Settlement.
Edwina Hughes of the Peace Movement Aotearoa is a resource person for the Treaty Relationships Group. She attends all committee meetings and participates fully in decisions. We appreciate her deep knowledge of many of the issues.
