Yearly Meeting 2025
Yearly Meeting 2025 will be held at the Quaker Settlement under the care of Wellington and Palmerston North Monthly Meetings from 23 to 26 May, with a Preparation Day starting on 22 May at 2 pm. Accommodation will also be available at the Settlement for the night of 21 May, for those who intend travelling on that day.
As with the last Yearly Meeting in 2023 that was held at the Quaker Settlement we are planning for a variety of options for accommodation, including staying onsite in the Settlement accommodation, billeting at the Settlement and offsite accommodation. The meeting will be hybrid online/in person, to enable Friends from around the motu and the world to join us.

Accommodation: We have a variety of options for accommodation at and near the settlement. When you register you can specify your first and second choices. Preferences will be allocated where possible. Options are:
- The sleeping-house. Dormitory-style $42 per night (b&b), with shared bathroom. Linen and towel can be supplied for a one-off cost of $10, otherwise BYO linen or sleeping bag, etc
- The Units. Twin-share (we'll try to give you your preference of room-mate). $58 per night per person (b&b).
- Bring your caravan/motor home. Powered site. $21 per night per person (b&b).
- Tent site. BYO everything, power available. $16 per night per person (b&b).
- Billet at the Settlement. $58 per night per person (b&b).
- Mt St Joseph Retreat. About 1km from Settlement. Single room. $63 per night per person. Breakfast will be provided at the Settlement.
- Organise your own accommodation. With your friends, or commercially.
In allocating accommodation, we will note the people who have their own transport, and who have mobility issues, and try to get a harmonious mix. Obviously, those who register early are more likely to be given their preference.
Meals: We have Grant and Tess Marryat cooking for us again (they cooked at Summer Gathering Tirohanga in 2023-24) with vegetarian the standard option, and gluten-free and vegan options available. Let us know what your needs are when you register. Breakfast is provided with accommodation as noted above, lunches are $31 each and dinners $36 each. You will have the option on the registration form to register separately for meals each day.

If you are arriving in Whanganui by public transport (e.g. bus, aeroplane) and would like a ride to the Settlement, you will need to provide details (where and when you will be arriving, and details of the flight or bus service).
