Newest members of Dunedin Monthly Meeting
This month we were delighted to welcome Ashley Macmillan and Grant Galbreath into membership. Grant and Ashley moved to Dunedin from Auckland last August so that Ashley could start a PhD on conflict prevention at the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, while Grant continues his work as a social worker. Since then they have become very active participants in our Quaker community - with Grant joining our clerking team in February and Ashley coordinating Young Friends and recently being nominated to the committee of Quaker Peace and Service Aotearoa New Zealand. They also got engaged earlier this year, so it is busy time for them!
Our planned morning tea to welcome them as members has unfortunately had to be postponed because of the current COVID lockdown, but we will reschedule it as soon as possible.
