
Website Technical Services Team
The Website Technical Services team are responsible for the smooth running of the Quaker website and to assist with any technical issues or access issues. It also provides User Support services to assist in training Friends in the use of the website.
The Quakers.nz website is built with two purposes: outreach to the public and in-reach to provide services for Friends and online administrative functions for Monthly Meetings and the Society
The team also supports the Quakers.nz email and online storage service, which uses Google Workspace. It also operates the Quakers.nz Helpdesk at help@support.quakers.nz
The committee works in close liaison with the Website Oversight Committee which looks at the website as a whole, arbitrates if disputes arise and determines website policy.
Website Migration Project
Yearly Meeting 2024 approved the migration of the Drupal 7 website, which was due to reach end-of-life in early 2025. The new website was developed by Communica starting in May 2024 and is due to go live in March 2025.
