Penal Reform Correspondent
The Quaker Penal Reform Correspondent promotes a compassionate, rehabilitative justice system in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The previous Penal Reform Committee has organised annual weekend Penal Reform Seminars at the Whanganui Quaker Settlement, discussing reconciliation, justice and restitution in New Zealand society. Quakers, non-governmental agencies, Corrections staff and others come together to share perspectives, consider attitudes towards crime and punishment, and encourage reform.
