Seeking stillness, truth and community?

Learn about Quakers:

Quakers welcome and include people of all and no religious backgrounds and beliefs. The official name for Quakers around the world is the Religious Society of Friends.

Our worship is based on silence and listening to the spirit. Quakers practise truth and integrity, simplicity and sustainability, and pursue paths leading to peace, equality and community.

Stay Connected:

Occasionally (from January 2026) we create an email Visitors' Letter with reflections, updates, stories and coming events. Join the mailing list by clicking on the Connect with a Quaker button in the photo above, or email talk@outreach.quakers.nz, with "visitors' letter" in your email subject line.

Five times a year, Friends publish the official Aotearoa New Zealand Friends Newsletter. You can subscribe at editor@newsletter.quakers.nz

You can subscribe to an occasional Wider Quaker Fellowship Letter: The Wider Quaker Fellowship (WQF) is an association of people of diverse backgrounds, Quaker and non-Quaker, wanting some connection with the Religious Society of Friends. There are many people in New Zealand who consider themselves to be Quakers, but for some, reasons of distance or health, they may be prevented from attending Quaker Meetings and events.  Subscribe at wqf@ym.quakers.nz

Connect with a Quaker directly by clicking on the green button in the photo above. We look forward to hearing from you.

Upcoming Events:

Online Worship:  Online Meetings for Worship are held weekly in Mt Eden, Auckland, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. You'll find the details on the Meetings list here.

Experiment with Light Meditations: Experiment with Light is a simple meditation practice in which we develop the capacity to sense what Spirit is wanting to convey to us. This relationship with the ‘Inward Light' is the foundation of the Quaker way.
