The Quaker Peace and Service Committee, also known as QPSANZ, funds a range of groups and activities which align with its peace and service mission.

Donations

Donations for Palestine: QPSANZ is currently collecting funds for forwarding either to Ramallah Friends School or to Medical Aid for Palestinians.  Click here find out more about the need for funds by these organisations, and how you can donate. Donations will be accepted until the middle of January 2026, and be transferred in late January, with the QPSANZ grant for the year.

Grants Available

The fund makes regular annual grants to several organisations involved in service and peace work in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas, including: 
 

  • Local Peace Grants (up to $2,000) to support peace­building activities in Aotearoa New Zealand by Quakers or non-Quakers.

  • The Loxley Award (up to $25,000) to assist New Zealanders (Quakers or non-­Quakers) who wish to undertake a project which promotes understanding of peace, justice and environmental issues in Aotearoa New Zealand or abroad.  Click here for information on the latest award recipient, and application forms.  To see past Award winners click here
     
  • The Young Friends Internship is designed to provide  support for Young Friends with living expenses while undertaking work that promotes peace, social justice, and environmental sustainability.

Latest Loxley Award Winners

Two Loxley awards were made for 2025, one to Cole Martin to support his work in the West Bank learning Arabic and providing news articles and information on Palestinian situation, and another to Andy Dolling to help fund a tour with his theatre production on conscientious objection, a gREAT rAW and theatre of liberation.  You can read reports from Cole on his experiences in Palestine here.
