
Writings of Record (Epistles)

One of our founders, George Fox, used widely circulated letters (which he called epistles) to encourage and spread communications among Quakers. The practice of sending epistles around all the Quaker network continues to this day. At each Yearly Meeting Gathering Quakers agree on the messages to be contained in the annual epistle designed to be circulated around the world.
