Summer Work Weekend at Quaker Acres

Come and help us progress our care for this special place. We welcome newcomers as well as familiar faces. There will be a range of tasks; from releasing young trees, building maintenance,trimming branches and tackling weeds, to helping in the kitchen or with the children, or a bit of everything. No matter your skill or energy level, there are things to do for all ages and stages!
Adults contribute $10 per day for food. Children (accompanied by an adult) are free. No charge for accommodation in return for your valued work. Accommodation will be allocated on the basis of order of registration and needs.
Remember to bring
old clothes
sunhat
sunscreen
swimming gear to enjoy the pool.
You may want to bring your own gardening gloves and tools. (Please name all your gear). Chainsaws and chainsaw skills will be useful.
For the Saturday night concert bring instruments and ideas.
Photographs will be taken during the weekend. If you do not want to be in photographs, let Marion know so we can ensure you don’t appear in our record of the gathering.
