Waiheke Island, Auckland
About the venue
Situated on a hill overlooking Palm Beach on Waiheke Island, Friends House Waiheke was built in the 1980s as both a meeting house and as a retreat for Quakers - a special place of peace and renewal. It is not a public facility.
As a meeting house, Friends House Waiheke is the meeting place of the Waiheke Island Worship Group. Meetings for Worship are held in the main room on 2nd and 4th Sundays at 9.00am. You are welcome to join.
As a retreat, Friends House offers a space to relax and rediscover the important things in life. Lovely sea and bay views across the bush-clad section are inspirational. The beach and a playground are less than 5 minutes walk.
What you'll find at Palm Beach:
- a safe sandy north-facing beach looking across the Hauraki Gulf towards Little Barrier Island
- a shop
- takeaways
- restaurant
- children's playground.
When booking, please email giving your name/s, the Friends Meeting to which you belong, number of beds needed and the dates you wish to book.
