Summer Gathering 2026-27 is happening at Teapot Valley Christian Camp, 25 minutes south of Nelson.

Start date: 29 Dec (arrive from 4 pm)

Depart date: 4 Jan (11 am - last 'meal' is morning tea)

On-time registrations close 7 Dec. After that date, there is a 5% penalty.

This year, there is no 'early bird' discount.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The overall theme is 'Peacemaking' with several interactive sessions. Another theme is 'climate advocacy.' Weather permitting, there will be opportunity to engage in a 'hands on' local conservation project. The camp has catered dining, a gym, outdoor pool, maze, piano, wifi and video facilities, and well tended grounds with a local hill for walking and reflection. Crafts will be available, and a children's programme, a ceilegh and a concert. The main accommodation is in 6-bed dormitories, and a few bedrooms are available according to needs. Camping and caravanning (with power point) are encouraged.

Our Yearly Meeting is significantly subsidising the cost of Summer Gatherings for families and for young people.
