JYF camp will be taking place 6th-12th July at Bethany Park, Kaiteriteri.

The theme for JYF camp this year will be 

Peace Making

Our world seems further from peace than ever

Do our Quaker beliefs have anything to offer us and our lives to bring peace to us and our environment?

Friendship

This is a great opportunity for Junior Young Friends to meet up with other JYF from all other the motu and
make life-long friends.

There is financial support available for travel and camp fees. Please ask your Meeting first, but then contact
the CYPF Committe Registration is on the Quakers.nz website.

History

Quakers have a long history in Nelson, including a historic meeting house, and a member was involved in the Wairau Incident. We will learn our whakapapa in this area.

Service

Another traditional part of JYF camp.

Fees and food

Wholesome vegetarian food and plenty of it is on the menu. Fees are $120 for the week, subsidised by YM.

Programme 

We are on the edge of one of NZ’s Great Walks, weather permitting we plan to get outdoors and enjoy the place we are staying.

There will be crafts (it's a great Quaker tradition)
