Warkworth-Matakana Quaker Meeting

We are a small, friendly local group who meet monthly and socially through our community. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend. If you would like to speak to someone before coming to a meeting, feel free to contact us via the details here. We are always happy to answer questions and if you let us know you are coming, we will welcome you at the door, or you can just come on in!

We gather in silence, a silence of waiting and listening to anything that connects us to Spirit.

Some close their eyes, some focus on the flowers and as you let go of the busyness of life, what is really important to you comes to the surface.

Some Friends will speak briefly; anyone is welcome to. It might be something someone is reflecting on, or they feel moved to share.

Quakers believe there is 'that of God' in each of us.

Being in a Quaker meeting gives us the time and space to connect with our inner Spirit.

We will signal the end of the meeting, by joining hands with those either side and so on until we are all connected.

Chatting and coffee or tea and good food concludes our morning.

Warkworth Quaker Worship Group is part of Northern Monthly Meeting.
